This piece is part of my Wildlife, Skulls, and Nature Collection and it reflects heritage.
This painting grew from my interest in deer skulls and the stories they hold. I wanted to bring a buck skull and a turkey tail together because deer and turkey hunting are long traditions here in Pennsylvania. I also kept thinking about how people used to hang skulls and antlers on old barns, so I built that look into the background. The barn wood texture came through in rich layers, and the way the skull sits over the turkey tail gives the whole piece a strong three-dimensional feel. It became a simple way to honor the seasons, the land, and the history tied to them.
This artwork is for people who want their home or cabin to reflect the heritage of the outdoors. Created by someone who has spent years studying the shapes and stories of wildlife, it brings warmth, texture, and a sense of tradition into your space. It offers a quiet reminder of the land we depend on and the history that lives in every season.
