This piece is part of my Wildlife, Skulls, and Nature Collection and it reflects wonder.
This painting grew from my years of teaching when I often asked students what they wanted to be when they grew up. They sometimes asked if I had always known I wanted to be an artist, and that made me wonder how a baby animal might dream of its own future. I pictured a small fawn curled up and imagining the large antlers it might grow one day. Later, someone at a show pointed out that the antlers curved around the fawn like a parent offering quiet protection, and I loved that meaning too. The contrast of the bright green background and the warm reddish-brown of the fawn helped the whole scene come alive, and painting a fawn for the first time made this piece feel special.
This artwork is for people who want their home or calming space to hold a gentle sense of wonder. Made by an artist who knows nature by heart, it brings soft color, warmth, and quiet hope into your room. It is a simple reminder that every life begins with dreams we cannot see yet.
